It totally caught me by surprise who was causing all her troubles to be honest, as I didn’t see that coming and didn’t see that very ending between Grace and Benny!

I didn't love the prose, but I was entertained for the whole time, so that must mean something, right? I also hadn’t realized until I started reading but one of the main characters runs an enormously popular bookstagram, which was super fun to read about! I tried but I found it so dull and the beginning of a book is supposed to grip you - especially a gripping thriller - and this was anything but. Lastly, any criticism or feedback should be constructive and respectful towards the author and the translator.

There were some situations where the characters messed up and didn't treat people well because of their bad mental health, which should obviously never be an excused, but it all gets unpacked and talked about and I very much enjoyed that. From TikTok and Wattpad sensation Mercedes Ron comes the English translation of the next in the hit Culpable series, a delicious and angsty enemies-to-lovers romance. A year older in each chapter, Peter’s story is told to him by his future self as he attempts to recreate the optimism and futurism of the 1960s, and to reveal how that utopianism fares as it emerges into the Seventies. And then I had the miraculous experience that is watching Empire Records, and we all boarded the rating train straight to Twosville.

On the surface, they seem to all fit into generic stereotypes such as “the coolest girl in the world” and “little miss perfect,” but by the end of the book, it becomes evident that they’re all so much more than that, and you really can’t judge a person just off how they seem on the exterior or at first glance. This suspenseful YA series untangles the threads of love, trauma, and secrets, perfect for fans of Ugly Love and After. I'm not 100% sure how a book that has so many blatant similarities isn't being pegged for plagiarism.I was able to empathise with the grief and madness that was felt, and I enjoyed this book from the very first page. But it’s also so much more than that, it’s about personal struggle and the struggles that we can’t see that people go through inside of themselves and that they hide from everyone else. As years go by she marries Troy Dixon and has two children Mia and Russ but the dread always came for Hope's anniversary. From the manager who is a supportive woman to these three main characters who believe in their individuality, their dreams, and themselves, the girls definitely rule in this book. In addition, the first half of the book was pretty repetitive as we were stuck in the stage in which the characters are learning about the big bad news and try to process it instead of actively plotting a solution. Once the story starts to unfold you really start feeling overly emotional as you can see that something bad had happened. Could it be her imagination – after all her grandmother was schizophrenic and killed herself in a horrific manner – or is there another kind of madness at work? This was, at the core, a very character driven story, and I loved getting to know the three main characters. Unusually for me I did not read any of the blurb for this book, I just went in blind and had to navigate my way around the characters and story. Rinn is a bookish content creator who loves to read, and that's something I was so so happy to see because who doesn't want to see their enthusiasm being reflected in a story they read? Her success was followed by the sagas Enfrentados ( Ivory and Ebony) and Dímelo ( Tell Me Softly, Tell Me Secretly, Tell Me with Kisses), which consolidated the author as a benchmark in youth romantic literature with more than a million copies sold.

I don't mind children in books but the first couple of pages are just full of the mc's children, you'd think she was a single mother, plus the whole past thing with her sister dying, yeah I get it you feel guilty but my goodness it's mentioned on like every page and its just so goddammed boring. moreover, she is an online bookish creator, and the way she uses her platform to promote wild nights and her favorite books reminded me of my own blogging experience.

Readers should know this is mostly about the characters and given the book takes place over 24 hours we learn a lot about the three main women.
