It supports the connection the XBOX, PS4, PS5, etc. USB1.1 only supports up to 24bit/96kHz. ♫ U2.0 mode: USB2.0 needs driver with WIN system.

Covering every genre, from high-end DAC, to power amplifiers and dedicated headphone amplifiers, the brand is best known for its excellent quality/price ratio. Some, like the SMSL AD18 , or SH-8S are now all-time classics and can be found on many chi-fi enthusiast desks. Mine, for example, hosts the brilliant DO200 + HO200 combo, a superb DAC + headphone/amp duo that earned my personal recommendation as one of the best combos you could get in this price range, and above. FiiO launched the K5Pro ( AKMversion) 3 years ago, in August 2019, and at the time it was in high demand. Being an all-in-one and relatively compact device, it was highly appreciated by audiophiles. This year, FiiO updated the K5Pro ( ESSversion) and released it with a new DAC and a new MCU. You can access our review via this link. We liked the K5Pro, but I personally expected a more major update over the old K5Pro, in terms of both design and features. FiiO has done just that with the K7, and the fact that they didn’t introduce a price increase is quite impressive! In light of all this, I think it’s not hard to foresee that the K7 will have an important place in FiiO’s desktop line-up.

The SMSL C200 has RCA pre-outs along with TRS balanced outputs instead of the bigger brother DO/HO sporting XLR balanced outs. The headphone output is a 6.35mm single ended and the 4.4mm is the balanced connector, however it doesn’t provide an actual increase in channel separation or more power output, it is for accommodation. I tested the C200 through a selection of weapons from my armoury. I included no IEMs – this is aimed at full sized headphones folks – and this is what I found.

It is also worth mentioning that SMSL took care of ensuring the C100 is powered properly. Since the USB port combines the function of power and data entry, coupled inside is a high-performance power filtering system so listeners can relax knowing their audio is not touched by unwanted noise. Any item returned must be complete with all accessories, hardware, manuals, or instructions, and in the same "new" condition as when it was when shipped to you. Please send us photos or videos of it. The presence and delivery are there for electric guitars. Just don’t expect too much on the subtleties since the C100 can blunt the edges a bit. This, however, suits instruments like the violin, observing that the depth of each note is being given a nice balance of body and zing to not sound too dry. Staging & Dynamics

Sound

As you can legitimately expect, the SMSL C200 has a perfectly neutral signature, which means it's indistinguishable from most other solid-state devices out there. I deem this a good thing as it means the device is not going to add its own flavour to your music, staying instead out of the way and letting you concentrate on the music itself (or on the headphones, if you wish to do so). There's a remarkably low noise floor and there's no hiss nor buzz, despite other devices on my desk having it - which appears to be proof of a good job done by SMSL in managing the power. I find transients to be quite fast, which is especially appreciable with fast headphones like the aforementioned HE-560 or the Edition XS.
