You can see that this is meant to represent the sun of a northern country, a soft sun that barely warms. I don't get the citrus notes - but perhaps they help to balance the scent and keep it from being too sugary. The composition opens with light top notes of bergamot lemon cassis African orange flower and palisander rosewood. Sun is of course reminiscent of suntan lotion, but it's more than that, there are so many facets to it.

Jil Sander Sun Eau De Toilette was a major bargain and I can already tell it’s going to be my scent of the Summer. My overall impression is of a powdery perfume than anything summery or beachy, but that doesn't detract from its loveliness. They have orris root in common but I doubt is that because it's like an animalic note that bothers me.

I did have faint memories of this from airport tax frees during childhood, but not even then it seemed sunny! Jil Sander Sun is a perfume that will transport you instantly to the seaside where the sun warms your body, the fresh breeze blows through your hair, and the sparkling sea cradles your thoughts. The perfume itself reminds me of soap, that old unscented marseille soap in combination with something animalic which is not my favorite thing, and yeah it smells kinda cheap to me.just beautiful especially in summer, constantly sniffing myself when I wear this and an instant favorite.
