About this deal

The cross action brush head utilises a 16 degree angulation of the toothbrush bristles which allows it to clean close to the gum margin. It will help clean the teeth better but ultimately more important is regular cleaning (twice a day) than an electric toothbrush. The ‘Design Edition’ applies primarily to those that have a case with some form of pattern printed on it, rather than a solid 1 colour option. In essence the main difference is that the Oral-B Pro 650 comes with a travel case, a bonus tube of toothpaste and comes in black or pink. After the dentist recommended 2 minutes of brushing, the brush head double pauses and this lets you know when to stop.

This is the same 2 minute timer which is on the higher end brushes including the Oral-B Genius 8000. The 600 range is a good entry level, cross action brush can seem abit harsh, seperately bought sensitive brush is a good alternative. The lack of such is not Braun being stingy, it is because they are designed to be charged from a shaver socket found in many bathrooms, which use this 2 pin configuration. With either of the Pro brushes shown here, the daily clean cycle lasts for 2 minutes (120 seconds) and sees 8,800 oscillations and 20,000 pulsations through that cycle, a number of movements not humanly possible. In writing this comparison I almost feel that I am cheating you into believing there is more between these two brushes than there really is, but the fact of the matter is that the 3 bullet points above summarise the key differences between these two brushes. In essence it is an upgraded special edition Oral-B Pro 600 with a travel case and bonus Oral-B pro expert toothpaste Does that mean it is good value for money?

The built in battery is rechargeable and will last for approximately 28 minutes or 7 days, based on one user. Basic brush, seems to do what its meant to - maybe it will break in the not-so-long future, doesnt seem very durable. Never been a fan of electric toothbrushes but this time around a convert, overall a better clean, just got to get use to using it.Does take 22 hours to charge from flat battery, but it does tell you when battery low so that's fair enough. Box contents in either of these brushes is fairly limited in comparison to more premium brushes like the Pro 6000, but included is what you need. The slim handle is grippy, the cleaning results are good and the 1 cleaning mode ensures it is no more complicated than it needs to be. These figures were correct at the time of writing and should not be relied upon as hard fact, but used as a guide during your decision process.
