Though he attended college for theatre arts, he gave up acting to pursue the infinitely more attainable profession of “epic fantasy novelist”. She’d never actually seen Bloody Rose before, but she knew every story, had heard every song, and had seen the warrior’s likeness on walls or sketched on posters around town, though chalk and charcoal hardly did the real thing justice.

The musical references are just as tasty with my favourite being the Hucknall Bean though the clever mention of Simon le Bon's pop rockers made me smile as well. After Fable complete their tour and the contract in Diremarch things really turn to shit and ultimately, they end up facing the Horde with the fate of all of Grandual and everyone’s lives be they monster or human on the line.I’m hoping to get my copy this week and I can’t even describe my excitement at the thought of reading it, more so after reading your review. The Sororitas arrayed themselves for war on the utterly lifeless world, and held their positions for a solar day while the canonesses of each preceptory prayed for guidance. In mid-late M36, Saint Mina was martyred by a sanguinary cult whilst at prayer in a shrine on Hydraphur. I’m really not sure, I guess if you liked the first book and thought it was OK then you’ll hope that the sequel will either be OK too or maybe better.

The banter, the camaraderie, the various flaws that each member has, the snark, the humour, the dynamics and relationships between the bandmates, how each one of them brings something different to the band and to the fight, how they all play off and compliment each other’s strengths and weaknesses, simply put, they are just a wonderful creation and group. He has crafted a world and injected it with some serious lore, and I can’t wait to see where he takes us next.

Though many of her companions fell, Amelda refused to yield and defiantly advanced through the eldritch storm, slaying the Aeldari Farseer with a single bolt round to the head. Great with kids, provided those kids don’t mind having corrosive acid spat in their faces from time to time.

Secondly, if you read Bloody Rose first and then decide to read KoTW be warned that Bloody Rose does spoil many of the events and most of the story told in KoTW. From the moment a sister joins the Bloody Rose, she is taught to foster and harness her most violent impulses so that they may be unleashed upon the enemies of the faith. With his writing, Eames shred some sweet licks and can go from laughing out loud hilarity to headbanging riffage ( action) to lighters in the air balladry ( emotion) to quiet reflection and back again in the span of a page and he seamlessly transitions between the different aspects sublimely well.
