The BBC's answer to 'Dallas' and 'Dynasty', the series is set in the fictional coastal town of Tarrant and focuses on the wheeling, dealing, bed-hopping and backstabbing that are the fabric of the lives of the highly privileged South Coast yachting set. The plot is complicated enough to make it addictive but without the awful violence and bad language that we are faced with today. The critics were not always kind about this excellent series on BBC TV because they wanted to compare it with Dallas and Dynasty which were being broadcast at the same time.
