About this deal

As I render my verdict on my assessment on KB Ear Lark, if you observe that I'm quite pointing out some of its flaws and inadequacies to sound more of a critique on this product rather than being buoyant and yet I still give a 4-star mark, one of the reasons is that KB Ear gives an importance on its customer’s satisfaction on how they present their product very well-organise and very presentable with a substantial amount of included accessories compare to its competitors that usually provided their set with just bare-bones accessories. Second is their products aesthetics and presentation for its quality and in well-organise manner and lastly, their tuning which is more mature and refined compare to some IEMs when it comes to V-shape tuning. Despite me not being a big fan of the build quality of the earphones, I find them really comfortable to wear even for long hours. Due to how lightweight it is, the earphones feel like they are never in your ears and that is really good. On top of that, the lightweight cable never feels like it is tugging on the earphones, adding on to the comfort of the earphones. The KS2 is super efficient and can be powered by any source included smartphones. It has a light V-shaped signature with punchy bass, clean midrange and sparkly but even treble. It has good clarity and a large soundstage. In my opinion, it is currently one of the best performers around its price point. Bass The treble is elevated but not by much compared to its bass and has a decent extension a Customs tried will be specified as “custom”. A “Third party custom” is someone else’s customs that I forcefit into my ears. Any other use of the term “unit” will be universal.

Treble: is smooth like butter , it's not harsh or thin but nice and warm. It's not super detailed but not missing anything in the treble frequency. Treble – There’s a boost in lower treble which helps to give a bit of life and energy to the mix so that it doesn’t sound dull. I won’t advise to use these foam-free. Full foams do help a lot with smoothening the highs without becoming boring (no pierce as well). It isn’t splashy at all and is crisp. There is roll-off as typical of budget buds but that elevation in the lower region does help for those looking for the treble.Lower mids are somewhat obstructed by mid-bass bleed and come across as increasingly recessed as you move up toward the true mids. Guitar tonality is fairly realistic although the slow decay is still evident. Vocals are not accentuated and sometimes fall behind the remaining instrumentation a bit but do have good tonality and texture. If volume is pushed a bit to compensate, it brings vocals up a bit but also increases stridency in the process. The boost in the upper-mids introduces sibilance if the source material has any leaning in that direction anyway. Strings have a bit too much energy as well and tonality comes across as a bit thin and hot on violin as a result. Ultimately the Ks2 is not a mid-centered in-ear and will do well with EDM or house that don’t focus on vocals heavily. The KS2 has an almost outrageous V-signature, but it's really fun and the mid-range is not neglected. Actually, KBEar Rosefinch did having quite a decently capable DD drivers. The transient speed of such DD is decently fast. Soundstage here is quite wide sounding, possible slightly above average kind of soundstage presentation. Instrument separation, imaging and layering are just decent, as this set is meant for casual/relaxing listening. Analytical head will really need to look elsewhere. Accessories: You get the barebones i.e. tips and cable and the IEMs themselves. No fancy extras. The tips are decent and might not need replacing. Same goes for the cable, though I did use an aftermarket cable I had lying around.

Imaging Average, and possibly even something less. Too often I hear instrument and voices tending to position towards the center of the stage instead of being more properly distributed around it. Unlike company like TRN or KZ that mostly create hybrid or multi-BA IEM, Kbear take more risk and have lauch single Dynamic IEM as well as Hybrid, Single BA and even planar-magnetic Hybrid. It’s clear as day here that the bass separation even though present, is slightly saying “Touché” to the Mids. But but but it’s with my LG G8X. DISCLAIMER- I ain’t a reviewer or an audiophile , just an music lover !! I wasn’t sent a sample of Believe, I paid for it – then sold it later on for buying something else and regretted it since it went out of production
