Sure enough, Pomoron says that the DH-JH01 is silent and that the noise ranges between 22dB to 49dB, depending on the fan speed level that you choose. I saw a slightly different performance using a small sound measurement tool. While the air purifier was in Sleep mode, I saw that at about 4-5 feet away from the device, the tool showed an average of 37dB, which is quite a bit above the advertised 22dB. Using the level 1 fan speed mode, the tool showed 46dB and, at the highest level, it showed an average of 51dB, so both these modes aren’t suitable for when you are sleeping. Furthermore, the body has a matte finish with small punctured holes outside. The small holes help in a greater air intake to be purified at a rapid speed. First, I let the air purifier to run into the Sleep mode and it required 2.8W (47mA). If I enabled the LED, it won’t make a significant difference since the power consumption went up by only 0.2W; enabling the UV light will require an additional 0.1W (summed up to a total of 0.3W), so you can leave them on all the time without worrying too much about any additional power consumption. Afterwards, I enabled the speed level 1 and the smart plug showed that the power consumption went up to 14.8W (76mA) which is still underneath the 17W, so the claim was most likely about the standard mode, which should be level 1. Lastly, I moved to the highest fans speed (level 2) and the power consumption went up to 21.4W (94mA) which is still fairly acceptable, the problem is that it’s going to be noisy. Left: Silent mode.
