About this deal

Since it is still publishing, I don’t know where the story is going too but so far it is keeping me piqued with curiosity. I love how it’s displaying the elements of a dystopian utopia so beautifully, be it the art or the story. (It also reminded a bit of summertime render due to the Central Theme: The Old vs The New. A conflict that is symbolized by Kujirai and Kudou's tensions over her desire to try new things and Kudou's resistance and reliance in habits. Even more so in regards to Kujirai wanting a new relationship with Kudou, while he is still hung up on the previous Kujirai.

Your works regularly focus on older characters, like both the leads of Kowloon Generic Romance and Masami in After the Rain. Can you describe any reasons for your interest in following these kinds of characters? During a date, Miyuki and his boyfriend talk about the kind of person they are. While his boyfriend says he is the kind to get attached to people instead of places, Miyuki is the one to get attached to pain, in the sense that something is only meaningful if it hurts him. When they break up, Guen bites his mouth and leaves him with a bleeding so that he can't forget him either. Mateo, Alex (January 28, 2022). "Yen Press Licenses Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet, Kowloon Generic Romance, Tales of the Kingdom Manga". Anime News Network. Archived from the original on January 28, 2022 . Retrieved January 28, 2022. Summary: Yoshida was just rejected by his crush of five years. On the way home from drowning his sorrows, he runs into a girl crouching in the middle of the road, and she offers him a deal—let her crash at his place and he can do whatever he wants with her. When he refuses, she asks to stay for free. This is the story of Yoshida, a 26-year-old office worker, and Sayu, a runaway high school girl, and their unconventional life together.Kowloon Generic Romance, Vol. 2". Yen Press. Sinister Geometry: The Generic Terra. It's a floating and brilliant octahedron that looks exactly like Ramiel from Neon Genesis Evangelion (the trope image for this trope) and hoovers in the sky of Kowloon. The manga builds a subtle sense of dread surrounding it as the viewer and the characters are kept in the dark regarding its true purpose, but are constantly reminded of its presence with scenes of the Kowloon sky. MAYUZUKI: Kowloon doesn't exist anymore, as previously mentioned, so it makes it difficult to draw it in today's world. I decided to make it a story about the not-so-distant future since I'm setting it in Kowloon, which is a place that no longer exists. There are some mysterious elements, such as people who aren't supposed to exist, yet they're alive in the story, but I don't think of my work as science fiction. I do think about the timeline of it, setting it in the near future.Right around that time, my parents bought me my first edition of Ribon, which was a monthly magazine published by Shueisha. It was the first time I saw how manga is serialized, how it comes out in these magazines, and how you're able to follow the story week after week, or month after month in the case of Ribon. The fact that you could follow these stories over time was so exciting and fun, and that really led to me thinking I really want to become a manga artist. It's fine to think that you want to become something, but then the question is, how would you become that thing? That part is a mystery even to myself. I just had this vague notion that I want to become a manga artist, and therefore I can become a manga artist. I was just kind of sure that I could do it, and it worked out for me as I am a manga artist now.

Unlike "Kujirai-A", she has her ears pierced. In the manga, there is a focus on her earrings to identify that she is "B". Summary: Welcome to Kowloon Walled City—a dystopian townscape full of people brimming with nostalgia and a place where the past, present, and future converge. This vividly drawn tale tells the story of the secret feelings and extraordinary daily lives of the working men and women in the city.

Kujirai Reiko

Kowloon Generic Romance, Vol. 3". Yen Press. Archived from the original on November 2, 2022 . Retrieved November 1, 2022. First-Name Basis: After becoming friends, Youmei begins calling Kujirai "Reikpon," her given name with a cutesy honorific. It's a way to show their friendship and also conveniently makes it easier to distinguish Reiko from "Kujirai-B" when Youmei talks about the two of them.

Either way, it has been completely demolished since 1994, just three years before Hong Kong’s handover from Great Britain to China. Apparently not so in Kowloon Generic Romance. MAYUZUKI: Yeah, maybe that is what it is. I do feel like older people just have more attractiveness to them. If I had to summarize the reason for having these older characters in my works in one word, it's my personal preference. You've been drawing serialized, published manga since 2013. How did you get into drawing manga, and how did you arrive at doing it professionally? Laser-Guided Amnesia: After discovering Kudou's photo of him and her together and learning that at least one other person knew the two of them as lovers, Kujirai realizes that she can't remember a single thing about her past.

J’ai aimé voir la relation entre Reiko et Hajime évoluer. Une forme de relation haine/amour, comme les aime.
