While Musc Noir does have a sweet plum note, it is balanced with the suede that adds a smokey darkness to it. The NR musc is present as always and I always found this musk to be very alluring. Dry down does provide hints of soapiness, for me I find the musk and suede to be front and centre so that it is not too sweet or powdery. Hours into the dry down, most of the notes fade and you are left with the classic NR musk. This was a very pleasant surprise for me. I work in an airport and decided to stop by at tax free and do some shopping. This super sweet lady working at the perfume section asked me what perfumes I like and my favourite scents are typically gourmand, floral and very feminine scents. She knew exactly what I wanted and led me straight to this perfume. i have to say i almost tossed this lol........i was hoping it was going to be something else by the name & ingredients BUT something made me keep trying it & YEAH its a beautiful light fresh skin scent worth keeping :) glad i gave it another try cuz i can be a bit impulsive when trying new scents lol.................plus i have (mostly) all the other narciso scents so glad to add this one too :) just a heads up this is not a scent that fits its name.........i have no idea why they call it musc noir lol - it totally does not fit the noir lol and if ur choosing between this or musc noir rose IMO i think this one is much prettier & more wearable - musc noir rose i returned - it was a funky combo on me & wasnt appealing

Now, after having had this absolutely stunning fragrance for a few months, I will just say that I am totally amazed. No end for the superlatives from me... Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication. I think this is a great day time office scent, or for times when a person would like to smell pleasantly clean and pretty without making a bold statement. Pure musc is weird. It needs heat to be activated. On paper strip it only lasts for about 1.5 hours, while on my actual skin it lasts up to 5 hours with just 1 spritz. (2 to 3 hours of normal projection and remains skin scent for the rest) From the beginning this starts off quite musk-forward (very similar to Narciso's Pure Musk) rounded out with plum and some florals. As it warms up on the skin, it becomes softer, warmer and more complex. It blends with your natural scent and gives off the most *beautiful* sillage - people will wonder why you smell so good, but not know what it is.My only critique is that despite good longevity it turns into a skin scent within a couple of hours and you really need to go looking for it to find it. That’s not a deal breaker for me as I just reapply. It has a smooth, clean soapy musk note that manages to feel cushiony and soft. Combined with the green florals, it has a rightness I've just never felt with others that try this. I like this fragrance, but also admire it. It has a smooth cool floral abstracted bouquet, abstraction being a quality I like more and more in fragrances. It may be one reason this works for me - it's blended, almost seamless, in the manner of Narciso Rodriguez fragrances, not about the notes.

Gentle, understated, demure, yet tenacious, subtly present all day through. Projection is pretty good in the beginning. The character of the scent is soft and easy going, though not casual. Very grown up and feminine. Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number). In summary, the first half is bright and clean while the second half is creamy and sensual. I can't decide whether this is an innocent or a sophisticated scent. It has a little bit of everything. Maybe that duality is the essence of femininity that Sonia Constant wants me to experience, or, logically speaking, depends on your own chemistry. It will smell cleaner and lighter for sure if you get more floral notes on your skin, but in my case, musk is waaaaaay more prominent than anything else in most of the time. I can barely even detect any flower in the dry down.This is heavenly womanly scent. It is an aura. It is a whole person this scent. You smell it and you KNOW YOU HAVE MET before, in your childhood, it is familiar and extremely sensual as well. Familiarity in the best way, it does not belong to nowadays era of perfumes. I oversprayed on clean, moisturized skin using a 1ml spray sample (emptied it - about 8-10 generous sprays, with another 1ml to top off into the next day).

I passed over this one for a long time and I'm not sure why. It's absolutely stunning. Sensual, feminine and mysterious, all while being soft about it, not loud. The ultimate 'your skin but better' scent, without the screechy notes I've noticed in others. Of course anyone can wear this, but I see this working best on a woman between the ages of 30 and 40, who is kind but holds her ground, intelligent, with a tad of mystery to her. This is my white shirt fragrance, what I wear when I don’t know what to wear. A staple, something that works for any occasion. It’s effortlessly cool without having to try too hard. Ughh it’s just gorgeous! I imagine a high class, wealthy, woman walking down 5th Ave in a white skirt suit, with her hair up. She walks by and she smells so good, but not of "perfume." It's her expensive shampoo and other products (that I could never afford), that leave her smelling like 'money.' Thats what Pure Musc is. It's not overpowering, put people get a whiff when you walk by and become enamored.I spray it all over my clothes and bedding too. Reminds me of something from my 80s childhood and I cant quite pinpoint it. Finesse conditioner? Jean Natte?

musc noir is very light airy & fresh............very feminine & elegant - easy to wear IMO anywhere This would make an excellent signature scent, and I can see it working for pretty much all seasons apart from the hottest days of summer. The mid temperatures of spring and fall are likely the times of the year when the scent would work best (I've noticed Narciso's perfumes work best on my skin during those seasons). This is such a nice, clean and comforting scent. It does not smell like a laundry detergent or so but it does remind me a little of laundry 'day'. You will feel comforted within your own skin, feel yourself clean and present. This works so good after a shower and then douse yourself in this comforting precious liquid. In the opening it is a tiny, (with the emphasis on a tiny) animalic and sharp because of the musc. I think that this was the dislike at first for me, but now I appreciate it and love it, also because of the dry down (powdery, musky, floral and a little woodye). Interesting how olfactory senses and judgement can change over time.. Scents I've smelled prior to this with any similarities to it genuinely pale by comparison or simply seem overcomplicated.

AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION

However, I have not really been a fan of a couple of the new Narciso cubes (esp. Ambrée) and I don't like this for a similar reason and that reason is a cheap floral note that throws the whole perfume off, a sour note that smells like cheap perfume gone stale. The rest of this is good - I like the plum, the softness, the musk, of course, but I just cannot cope with the florals in this. I don't know if it is a change in perfumer, budget or what, but this is spoiled for me... I've given it a couple of good tries but I get the same thing each time.
