Singer has thought of everthing, even the SE017 lint brush has been designed with precision, it has a needle location hole to help when insert new needles, its is built in to the lint brush handle, clever! The lower looper threading system, which can be horrible in other machines, is excellent. A switch pulls out the hidden lower looper so you can thread it in plain sight. This makes such a difference. So many freebies! It took about 3 minutes and 10 seconds to thread the lower looper on the Janome. It was very fiddly. It took about 40 seconds on the Brother 4234d! What a difference. Simply slide a lever to easily change the machine for rolled hemming. There is no need to change the stitch blade. It’s a similar quality and price as the Brother. It also has a great “information panel” on the front which suggests settings for 12 different stitches. This is super helpful and rare to find. It will save you from constantly looking up the settings in your manual.
