About this deal
A great summer and hot weather dumb reach, although I wouldn't wear this to any formal events. Good for casual and work/office environments. Also good for the gym, though it is a bit strong, so I'd go easy on the sprays for indoor situations. If you want the best from Chrome line up get Chrome Aqua for super fresh tingling citrus burst (sporty vibes) or Extreme for sweet and comforting yet fresh with some depth and earthiness (compliment magnet). Both are great value and worth every penny even at higher price. I get zero Polo blue vibes, I own Blue EDP, Deep Blue Parfum and love those, and don’t get that comparison (I’ve smelled all the other flankers and same). I also don’t get any Acqua Di Gio Profundo. And, I also think this should be its own line, it’s not Chrome at all in my opinion, and I actually really like the Original, but love this one.
p>Discover the fragrance Azzaro Chrome Extreme, a men's fragrance which completes the Azzaro Chrome saga and invites you to experience a dive to the depths of the ocean.
AZZARO CHROME EXTREME is a new fragrance, inspired by the very depths of the seabed, a scent created in extreme conditions. It provides an intensely fresh sensation, just like a dive to the depths of the ocean. Feel the surging adrenaline which drives divers to the very deepest depths of the underwater world, before experiencing intense satisfaction, the same satisfaction felt by all those who push their limits to enjoy a sense of weightlessness at the very bottom of the ocean.
AZZARO CHROME EXTREME is a fragrance with woody, earthy and amber notes: its strength is embodied by the marked contrast between its incredible freshness and its olfactory intensity. It combines notes of energizing green mandarin and sparkling juniper berry with a sensuous and intense amber accord. These ingredients come from sustainable development programs, in harmony with nature.
Available for the first time as an Eau de Parfum, the Azzaro Chrome saga continues, offering an "Extreme" experience. The iconic Chrome bottle is updated in a deep shade of midnight blue and features elegant lines, reminiscent of the depths of the ocean.
Smell: sweet and fresh. Opens up smelling like melon and cucumber with a bit of orange. Dries down into a fresh aquatic fragrance which has some sharpness similar to YSL Y edp. Has a hint of creaminess but not much, which is a shame. Smells sweet and youthful. It has a fresh and fruity opening, with mandarin citrus. As the minutes go by, the aroma of lavender increases, giving it a very floral and aromatic characteristic, as well as some amber sweetness. In the drying phase a woody base of pine can be perceived, but it never loses the amber fruity presence.I got this fragrance early on in my journey, and my only regret is that I got a 50ml and not a full size. I love it. Being insanely hot where I live during the summer, freshies often fizzle out early. Not this. This is refreshing, pushes, and has decent longevity for a citrus, summer frag. When first applied, that zesty, juicy mandarin and almost a hint top note of mint come thru. Beautiful and stunning. This will easily be one of my more frequent reaches. It is amazing. There is a true transition with the top-middle-bass notes, and each one is fantastic. Now, this is very much a unique fragrance; however, the only thing that came to mind as a comparison was Clinique Happy for men (I’ve compared one other frag as a vibe, but this really reminded me of it). I’ve always loved that one, but it’s linear, seasonal and has terrible performance. ChromeE is to me possibly like if Happy were reimagined, or an Intense version.. and made with better quality ingredients. I almost hate to mention that comparison but felt compelled to. It’s also way more versatile, and has WAY better performance. Performance: Projection is low, but when outside shirtless in the sun, performance gets much better. Approx 1ft scent bubble w good silage if outdoors. Longevity is 7-8hrs..
I'd say longevity is about 5-6 hrs, maybe more. Sillage is about an arms length. Maybe a little more. However, excellent for the price on the Internet. It starts relatively synthetic with citrus from the green mandarin, which i related to the smell to an unripened mandarin, and slowly mellows out of that sharp synthetic associated with the typical generic freshie. It transitioned from zingy aromatic into this smooth and slightly resinous marine scent which smells quite sophisticated. The juniper retains its sweetness while the cashmere really softens out the edges and the amber gives it a resinous quality while maintaining its sea notes from the top to the drydown. Then after a few more minutes, the saltiness & the sweet water notes and the amber eventually come thru. It retains this saltiness & the sweet water notes and amber throughout the rest of its journey, along with a musky, powdery nuance.
Azzaro Extreme is really good for what it is, at this price point it might be even better than Profondo. This thing lasts 12 plus hours on clothes and projects like crazy when its very hot from skin. It has got the sillage too. But that projection lasts sadly for only 2 hours on skin before turning into a skin scent.
Currently in the gym scent line up only because the scent profile is too familiar… not a bad thing. Although similar, it does it well with solid performance. Keeping it at 3-5 sprays MAX for gym wear this one I imagine Upon first wear it did really well for me in terms of chemistry between my skin/sweat and the aroma chemicals. So, I have been chasing a great Chrome fragrance ever since. It sounds bizarre, but I just feel better having that iconic flacon shape on my sink. I tried the "Pure" (almost powdery), the Aqua (smells like sea glass would, but it just didn't project enough), the Extreme (what a very cold ocean scent would be). I have been chasing that original Chrome magic ever since. I haven't found it.
