About this deal

What I wanted to do was provide some tips on how to get the best viewing (and listening) experience from the small portable TV in your caravan or motorhome. The way we watch television has changed dramatically in recent years: from the types of screen that we use to the way the signal gets to the screen – and these changes are equally applicable to television viewing in a caravan. Personally I would not open the tv to improve reception. I would test it on a good aerial connection at home and adjust the settings where possible to provide best picture. As I said ours has always provided an excellent picture. for our caravan we recently bought a 24" LG from Currys. It is an HD ready smart Tv with Freesat & Freeview tuners. We have no complaints whatsoever. Depending on how ‘down with the kids’ you are, you may be familiar with Bluetooth speakers, which can be linked up to smartphones and tablets.

I chose not to write this post around the best individual TVs for your caravan or motorhome as the products available are constantly changing. It is possible to line up a satellite dish using just a compass and watching the television screen. However, it is probably best to use a piece of equipment usually called a “satfinder” which is connected between the dish and the receiver. Like the Cello C1920FMTR, this Sniper model is a caravan TV that comes with a built in DVD and CD player. I know I can't receive Ch 4 or 5 at present, but what's the potential for these channels to become free to air in the near future? Apple and Android compatible for wireless casting, good selection of streaming apps available, most lightweight TV in our guideHowever, most of these USB connections provide sufficient power to run a pair of PC stereo speakers. I can't get a picture at all in the van and had a poor pic quality at home when testing due to signal problems so this doesn't pull in a good reception. Can the TV be opened up and the receiver adjusted or replaced with a better one or am I better buying a new aerial for the caravan? The old one is an original Status 315 which normally works ok but can struggle in some places for reception. Therefore, I’m going to skip recommending Bluetooth speakers and go for a much simpler (and cheaper) option. Desktop PC Stereo Speakers

Within your home, the solution is simple, get a soundbar or base or go full in on a surround sound system. Now, I’m not going to even imply such a solution is appropriate for a caravan or motorhome. With Netflix, YouTube and many social media platforms accessible from this product, this dual voltage 12/24v choice also has two HDMI ports so you can connect a host of other additional hardware to it. This allows you to play a games console, attach an HD satellite receiver or a Blu-Ray player. I’ve previously written a fairly comprehensive post on how to get an internet connection in your caravan or motorhome. I know this because its how I’ve been powering a pair of stereo speakers, the speakers you see above, which sit behind my 22″ Samsung Smart TV.The most common option is a portable satellite dish. However, I recently had a guest with a pretty high-end A-Class motorhome and integrated satellite dish. If I struggle with the supplied navigation system what should I buy at reasonable cost - I don't want to pay more for the navigation than I paid for the rest of the gubbins !
