Because someone is standing on the shore while fishing, does it necessarily mean that they are in the lake? Wouldn't someone be able to go fishing on the shore without going in the lake? Soon after the 1982 Big Game, people began calling KGO radio, asking for tapes of The Play. As sports director, Starkey realized he couldn't keep asking for copies to be sent out. Plus, since ABC owned the rights, there were legal hurdles to jump over before distributing. While Out on the Fields is not an academic study, the panel of experts reviewed and approved the scope of research, study design (including questions), data collection methods and the contents of the final report. They ensured the study met standards of data collection and provided the level of analysis expected in academic settings. The final report includes the results of the detailed, expert analysis conducted on the raw data. The raw data and the analysis was then collated into a final report, written by two professional writers, one of which is a multi-award winning journalist. This is why Out on the Fields is called a study.

Things were getting interesting, but a Cal touchdown? "I still didn't believe it," Starkey said. He continued to watch the ball, which Rodgers had pitched to Ford as the action shifted closer to Stanford's sideline. By this point, Starkey's color man and spotter had become irrelevant. It wasn't like, you think 40 years later, this was going to be such a momentous event," Diane said. "But people said to me later, who were out on the street, people were at intersections and nobody was moving, because they were listening to it on the radio."The UK Parliament conducted an inquiry to examine progress on homophobia in 2017. In the final report the parliamentarians wrote: We've heard no decision yet. Everybody is milling around on the [the conferencing officials now finally signal a touchdown] FIELD! AND THE BEARS! THE BEARS HAVE WON! The Bears have won! Oh, my God! The most amazing, sensational, dramatic, heart-rending... exciting, thrilling finish in the history of college football! California has won the Big Game over Stanford! Oh, excuse me for my voice, but I have never, never seen anything like it in the history of I have ever seen any game in my life! The Bears have won it! There will be no extra point! Starkey approached KGO's station manager with a plan: Transfer him the rights to The Play. He would arrange for the tapes to be produced and would sell them solely at the manufacturing cost. of teenage Aussie Rules (amateur AFL) players (males aged 16 – 20) reported hearing their teammates use homophobic slurs (e.g. fag) in the past month

When the captain does decide to use the leg slip fielding position, it is extremely rare that you will see more than one fielder being there at a time! This is because: It was right for the moment, but if you look at it in a classroom, you'd probably say, 'Not the way it's supposed to go.'" Shaw S (2019) The chaos of inclusion? The AFL has a legal and moral obligation to keep the commitment it signed in 2014 to “eradicate” homophobia. As the wealthiest sport in Australia, the AFL has the capability to make major investments in solving this problem. Most female rugby players in the UK and Canada say people automatically assume they are lesbians for playing the sport. It was so unique," Hutchins said. "It would have been easy for him to get carried away or to get lost, but he stayed in his broadcaster brain the whole way through that thing. It was kind of funny to me, my reaction versus his, but it was evidence and a testimony to just how professional he always was."
