About this deal

Kids and fans can bring home the animatronic edition of this loveable droid companion, L0-LA59 (Lola), and reimagine iconic scenes from the Star Wars Galaxy Visions: One of the most intriguing things about this short is the dancing — and how that translates into the climactic fight. Loi’e, the principal dancer and head spy, does an impressive routine using aerial silks. When she fights the Stormtroopers, she uses those silks as weapons. Her protege, Hétis, has a similar balletic fighting style. It’s fun to see a Star Wars fight that doesn’t rely on lightsabers or blasters. Stars: The bulk of this one takes place on a distant planet outpost, so we don’t see too many stars. However, the final moments involve Lola, the main character, blasting away into space, the full expanse of the galaxy unfolding before her. SERIES-INSPIRED DROID MOVEMENTS: In Companion and Hover Mode, this Star Wars toy opens and closes her mouth, moves the panels on top of her head, and tilts her head from side to side

Does it work? The visuals in “Sith” are incredibly evocative from the very beginning, when Lola wakes up in an almost stark white room. At the beginning of the short, it’s unclear where the Sith fit in, since Lola just appears to be a painter determined on finishing a mural. The darkness creeps up here — quite literally as Lola can’t quite get rid of the darkness in her paint. “Sith” uses every bit of its visuals to push the story forward. And painting using the Force? Amazing, talented, wonderful, just plain awesome. I want more eclectic uses of the Force! “Screecher’s Reach” Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store. Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame. In 9 BBY, she would accompany Organa when she was kidnapped by Vect Nokru's crew sent by the Third Sister to lure out the secluded Obi-Wan Kenobi. While her master was taken from planet to planet, she protected her together with the old Jedi, but was given a restraining bolt by Reva, which briefly worked to foil their escape. Once it was removed, she became an accomplice of the Hidden Path and brought hope to all who traveled it. She and her friends were eventually able to get Organa home. Safe and far away from the Galactic Empire, Inquisitorius, and Darth Vader. So what happened to Leia's little red companion as she grew up? Why isn't it hovering next to Leia as an adult, ready to deliver the Death Star plans instead of R2-D2? The real-world answer, of course, is that Lola didn't exist in Star Wars canon until this year. But thanks to a single sentence in the most recent Star Wars novel, we have an in-universe answer for why Lola isn't around during the events of A New Hope and what fate befalls this cute little toy-like companion. Wars: All we really know is that the Empire is conquering this planet and that they are looking out for Force sensitive children to capture. It’s not an explicit war, so much as it is a reminder of the Empire’s omnipresence. Stars: No stars here! This one takes place on a metropolitan planet, so it’s all city buildings and narrow streets instead. Jacqui Lopez [vice president of production at Lucasfilm and executive producer of Visions] gave me a call and let me know about this second volume of Visions,” recounts Blaas to StarWars.com. While Volume 1 of Visions had been comprised of the work of nine different Japanese animation studios, this new season would open the anthology up to the entire world. Nine new global studios would be part of Volume 2, with Spain's El Guiri Studios among them.

Visions: This is a charming almost slice-of-life story that has more to do with being a teenager with an embarrassing mother than it has to do with the Force, the Empire, or any other big powerful Star Wars thing. And it’s refreshing as hell!Stars: Once again, this short takes place on a singular planet — and a desert one at that! (Star Wars does love its deserts). Not many stars, even when it turns to night. The Star Wars L0-LA59 (Lola) Animatronic Edition from Hasbro's Star Wars collection lets kids and fans alike bring home a beloved droid companion. This Star Wars toy features design and deco inspired by the Obi-Wan Kenobi live-action series on Disney+. Touch the censor on L0-LA59's head to activate more than 45 different light, sound, and movement combinations through 3 modes of play. Stars: Not a lot here since 95% of this short takes place in a towering dance hall. Think that scene in Revenge of the Sith where Palpatine and Anakin talk about Darth Plagueis (and also watch Squid Lake). Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi to 9 BBY. Therefore, the events of " Part II," including the death of L0-LA59 above Daiyu, must be set in 9 BBY. Of course, beyond lightsabers, there were other elements of the Star Wars galaxy that Blaas and the El Guiri Studios team wanted to include to make the story more authentic. “I really wanted to dig in and make something that felt real, like you were inhabiting that space, especially through how we showcased technology,” Blaas says. “One of the things that I love in Star Wars is that certain props or sets don't work quite right, requiring someone to hit it, like the Millennium Falcon’s engine. These are the small things that make those characters human and relatable.”

L0-LA59: Kids and fans can bring home the animatronic edition of this loveable droid companion, L0-LA59 (Lola), and reimagine iconic scenes from the Star Wars Galaxy At some point the Force-sensitive Lola came under the tutelage of a Sith Master named Kutu, and pledged her allegiance to him. Ultimately she broke her promise, and fled her master's company. [1] Moving on [ ] Lola frequently manipulated her casing in various ways to emote, including flapping her decorative wing panels, as well as responding to both conversation and direct commands through beeping. Lola was a great and loyal friend to all kindhearted people around her, especially to Leia Organa and the rest of her masters. She would show the courage to protect and help them in the face of danger, although this would usually end in failure. But Lola's personality and valiance always spread hope to the ones around her, as she did for Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the innocents traveling The Path. [ source?] Equipment [ ] Toy droid [ ] Visions: The animation has this lovely painterly quality, with certain shadows and lighting looking particularly cool. But the best part is towards the end, where a character you would not really expect to be a Jedi whips out a lightsaber and fights the Sith inquisitor who has come to collect Rani. Lola was first pictured in a Volkswagen commercial that showcased the ID. Buzz, [12] a car that was made in collaboration with Lucasfilm Ltd. to promote the Obi-Wan Kenobi television series. [13] She first appeared in the first episode of the series, which was released on May 26, 2022. [14] She was first identified as L0-LA59 in a StarWars.com article announcing Lola products that were revealed at Celebation Anaheim, 2022. [15]Visions: The best shots of this one happen when the prisoners in the pit look up at the sky above them. It’s chilling, especially when juxtaposed with the more glamorous shots of a nearby city. Does it work? This one is the darkest of all the shorts, with an on-screen good guy death that is particularly heartrending. But at the same time, because the protagonists are so low (literally: they are in a pit), the eventual victory feels particularly cathartic. Like “In the Stars,” this one focuses on people rising up and triumphantly overthrowing the Empire. Unlike “In the Stars,” there are a lot of characters so it takes on a more macro view, which may or may not work depending on if you like more relationship-driven narratives. “Aau’s Song”
