The most obvious change is the switch from the rather dated LCD screen used by the Extreme Q to a much clearer and brighter LED user interface on the Arizer XQ2. Not only does the display on the XQ2 offer a much higher resolution, the user interface is a lot cleaner and easier to read as well.

Technical Specifications

All in all, the vapor quality produced by the Arizer Extreme Q2 is a slightly denser and more potent than the Extreme Q. The fan speed settings also play a large factor in this so your mileage may vary. The Volcano still manages to outperform the Arizer XQ2 (albeit marginally this time around) although not to the extent that you would think that the XQ2 is only half the price of the Volcano Classic. The XQ2 has some impressive shoes to fill. The Extreme Q could reach a vaping temperature of 260 degrees Celsius, which doesn’t leave much room for the Arizer XQ2.

The XQ2 also makes substantial gains in its heat-up times. It hits the target temperature within 2 minutes of starting up, but this could be less if you settle for a lower temperature. As for those that prefer vaping using the bag, you can expect the bag to fill up with vapour in 2-4 minutes. The Arizer XQ2 provides a wide variety of incremental upgrades over the original Extreme Q which makes for a compelling case for current owners of the latter that might be considering a new stationary vaporizer. While the old Extreme Q is definitely no slouch, it’s vapor output has the tendency to sometimes feel a bit anemic, especially when the Cyclone bowl wasn’t properly loaded.
