About this deal

Oral-B has gone above & beyond to create a brushing experience that’s in a class of its own. Beyond purely an advance in technology to incorporate world-class engineering - enabling the most thorough, gentle and quiet clean of your life. Beyond design to craft a genuine object of desire – creating a sleek look reserved for the most sought after technology. Sure, when you go from a manual brush to power – it upgrades your clean. But when you go from electric brushing to iO it goes beyond the ordinary to become a truly extraordinary experience that you will see, hear and feel differently. However, the “revolutionary” new drive system did not impress us much. To be honest, it feels quite a bit like the older Oral-B brushes, but it is a bit quieter and the motion is not as jittery. Ultimately, the cleaning experience is okay, but the motion can be a bit harsh for people with sensitive teeth and gums. One of our testers found it less comfortable than other Oral-B models and found himself forced to use the sensitive mode because it was too harsh. The round charger has no protuberance. It does have a 2 pin power adapter, and supports 100-240v. It takes up to 3 hours to recharge the brushes on this stand. The higher the model number the more features and the more expensive it is. The range topping model is the iO Series 10. The complete iO Series iO3 through to iO10 from left to right They are similar in more ways than they are different

Remember when you were a kid, and you really, really wanted that toy for Christmas, and the anticipation was so much that when you finally got it, it left you feeling rather disappointed? Welcome to the Oral-B iO 7.For most, this is not an issue. But, if you have a small mouth or crowded teeth maneuvering the iO head around will feel a bit different and in a few instances pose more of a challenge. Technically the brushes are nigh on identical, the main difference is the charging stand and charging time. From an overall space point of view, I don’t believe there is really a great deal in it between the case for the Series 7 and 9. I haven’t done the maths.

A number of settings like the brush language, Bluetooth connectivity and light ring can be accessed, but more settings and choices are available from the app. One issue we have seen right away with the iO is that gunk and grime collect under the brush head if you leave it on after brushing. After just one session, I found a terrific amount once I took the brush head off for testing. Keeping it clean is a bit more challenging than other brushes we tested. Gunk and grime collecting under the brush headPersonally, the biggest disappointment of this iO is that it is not much quieter than the other Oral-B brushes. In their marketing, Oral-B kept bragging about a whole new motorized system that was revolutionary with micro vibrations. We thought, surely this will be less harsh and quieter than its cousins, but it still came in right at 70 dB in our tests, which is like a loud conversation. Brushing experience By opting for the iO Series 6 rather than the iO7, you are likely to save yourself a fair amount of money. So, if you are travelling to Europe, Asia etc, the Series 6 cannot be recharged without a step down voltage converter. Daily Clean is the mode you’re generally best off using and is all you really need. It provides a good overall clean. It can help remove surface stains and whiten teeth for some too.
