About this deal

The brand claims their pan is coated with a thin layer of ceramic which has been infused with millions of diamonds, making it incredibly durable and an excellent conductor of heat. Blue Diamond is safe to cook multiple foods. It does not let any toxic fumes get into the food. Therefore, you can cook fresh and healthy food with cookware free from lead, cadmium, PFOA, and PEAS. Some people may ask that is PTFE- free or not. However, we didn’t find any information regarding it. As we suspected, and Thermolon confirmed, these are not gem-grade stones being used in Blue Diamond cookware products. Rather, the material used is a type of lab-grown industrial grade diamond dust. Ceramic pans from a reputable manufacturer should be safe. There’s nothing dangerous in the ceramic. However:

It could be a nice gift for a young adult leaving home, particularly if they are going to shared accommodation. Compared to the heavy copper-blended pans on the market, Blue Diamond pans have a diamond-infused ceramic layer that makes it super lightweight and easy-to-carry. Each pan only weighs about 1.75 pounds (0.8kg), so you can easily flip and serve food. Lid In terms of safety, it has firm handles and is oven-safe. The manufacturer claims that this pan can withstand up to 315 °C (600°F), so you can use it in both a broiler and oven with no worries. However if it contains PTFE, which I believe it may well do, I would not recommend using it above 260 °C (500°F).Ceramic cookware purports to offer a healthy alternative to Teflon. Yet not every pan is what it seems. Professional chefs consider this brand an important partner in the kitchen because of its 4X faster heat conduction with no hot spots Like other models, it has a Forged base for extreme strength. It is easy to transport from one place to another stove because of its lightweight design. The manufacturer stated that the cookware is free from toxic substances such as PFAs, cadmium, and lead. This makes it sound like a healthy option for your cooking routine. Yet reputable cookware is free of these substances these days anyway.

I don’t like how they talk about their diamond reinforced technology when underlying it is basically a version of Teflon. I think people might buy it to avoid PTFE or Teflon and be let down. The main features for which Blue Diamond pans and pots are getting fame are due to the fact that they are harder, have better heat transfer, and lasts long. The diamond-coated element makes it’s five times harder. It will not get damaged to metal. In addition, it has 10 times more tendency to lasts long. Furthermore, it has 4 times better heat transfer mechanism as compared to other market competent cookwares. This is because diamond is a good conductor of heat and transfers heat uniformly all around the pan. As with most television promotional products, the advertising claims are oversold. Owners say this product offers above average performance for a ceramic pan, at a very reasonable price. But it isn’t magic. However, Blue Diamond doesn’t state clearly whether its products contain PTFE—the active ingredient of Teflon that some consumers look to avoid. I’ll cover this below, but while there are concerns over the ingredient, it is safe to cook with if you use it properly. The best bet is often enameled cast iron which is similar to ceramic, but certainly Teflon free, and very durable.

I will just add to this though, that perhaps I am a little cynical, as some customers have commented on their Blue Diamond cookware lasting years when they look after it. So who knows? Overall, if you’re looking for a PTFE-free version of Blue Diamond frying pan, this 10-inch skillet is for you. Unfortunately the pan doesn’t come with a lid. This isn’t the end of the world as you can get your lid apart, but something to factor into the cost if you want one. Compatibility No. Metal is hard and will scratch the surface of any cookware. I don’t recommend metal utensils for cookware, though you could perhaps get away with them with stainless steel, cast iron or carbon steel. My children love a sprinkle of parmesan cheese on almost everything they eat, no matter if it’s an omelet, spinach tacos or veggie burgers.
